Birthday redo :)

I came home last night from work to find a happy baby and a wonderful husband hard at work in the kitchen! We had our favorite flat iron steak with teriyaki glaze, garlic smashed red potatoes, and corn from Mammaw's kitchen. It was yummy! Ryan did lots of things outside around the house and even washed the 6. Looks like Saturdays are his day to conquer the household :)

Ethan woke up at 7:30 this morning and didn't want to go back to sleep, so he played for a bit in his crib and then Ryan got him and we played for a bit before getting ready for church. I even got a present for my birthday redo today - a pink Ped Egg :) - and very cute, sweet cards from Ryan and Ethan. Since last Sunday was so crazy, I get free reign on our plans today :) We were actually all ready and made it to church on time! Ethan had fallen asleep so we sat in the nursery for a bit until he woke up. His naps are always thrown off on Sundays because he doesn't really sleep during church, and it's right at his nap time. He was a little wiggle worm during church, he ate puffs, played with toys, drank water, and smiled at everyone around us.

We went to Costco after church (per usual!) and walked around for a bit. We went to Carter's to pick up a few things for Ethan, we needed to get some long sleeved undershirts for fall and they were on sale half off plus I had a coupon :) Then we went to Johnny Carino's for lunch for a free birthday appetizer and yummy tortellini.

After we got home, we tried to put Ethan down for several naps and he wasn't having it... a crying fest both times, and he would not settle down so he just stayed up. He pulled himself standing and broke the mobile in his crib, and the next time was standing up trying to get the baby monitor... so now they're both moved. We do have an extra mobile because the company we ordered from shipped us two, but I guess it won't be useful with him anymore! He's moving himself from a crawl to a sitting position regularly now. It is so fun to watch him swing around and sit up!! And he's amazed by the door stopper in the office! He kept playing with it, pushing the door closed and open, and crawling back from the door stopper to the door. We were cracking up :) During that process, he also reached above the door stopper towards the plug, so plug covers will be broken open today. Ethan and I were hanging out downstairs and he was being fussy, so Ryan came to the rescue. I was in the middle of making him some carrots when he conked out on Daddy's chest, so we'll save those for tomorrow :) He woke back up around 10:30 and we got his nighttime diaper and jammies on and nursed. He is so aware of where his food comes from! He was all finished nursing, but then kept doing chest dives for a few more drinks and then looking up and smiling at me and Ryan. It is hilarious!
