Adventures in Sewing Take 2

It is very odd to drive around town and see gas stations open now but most have no gas. There are white/yellow bags over the pumps. I wonder how long it is going to take to get everything restored to normal? Thank goodness we actually got gas while there was still some available.

Ethan and I went to Mammaw's this afternoon to have another go 'round at sewing. Mammaw and Papaw went to get new thread, so we thought things would go smoothly! But, the thread is still breaking. It is so frustrating! Sheila even came over to help and it broke on her too, so I know it's not just me ;) We managed to get some done, but it was closing in on dinnertime so I needed to head home. We'll try again another day. We're going to break open the newer machine they got from Patty!

Ethan and I stopped by Kroger to pick up a few things for dinner. Ryan had gone to the Liberty-Fairfield Kroger and they were still closed, and Walmart was charging $4+ for a pound of ground beef, so we got some yummy ground turkey instead. We found these taco salad shells at Kroger the other day. They're in the refrigerated section with the tortillas:

We decided to have taco salad for dinner tonight and invited Mom, Jim, Brad, Lindsay, and Shawn over to join us since we got our power back and theirs is still out. The shells were so easy to make and I think dinner turned out pretty tasty! Very highly recommended - we will definitely buy them again.
